"Bionic Woman," "Private Practice" & "Dirty Sexy Money" Premiere Ratings (9/26/07)
Who won the battle between "The Bionic Woman" and "Private Practice"? Did "Gossip Girl" and "Back to You" manage to hold on to their audience in week #2? And how did the premiere of "Dirty Sexy Money" do? Find out, after the jump.
Jaimee Sommers as the new "Bionic Woman" gave Kate Walsh and the gang at "Private Practice" a run for their money at 9:00 p.m. (13.6 million vs. 14.4 million), but the sex-crazed docs at the Oceanside Wellness Group managed to come out on top.
That was a decent result for the "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off which managed to retain a great deal of its plum "Dancing with the Stars" lead-in audience which ruled the night with 16.62 million viewers.
ABC's super-cool guilty pleasure "Dirty Sexy Money" did not do as well as I was hoping it would, but it did manage to pull in 10.4 million viewers. If those numbers perk up a bit or at least stay where they are, the show should be safe.
Faced with competition, FOX's new sitcom "Back to You" (starring Kelsey Grammer) did not do as well as last week. The show went down about 20% to 7.54 million. Of course, all the show needs to do is survive till January when it will be saved by "American Idol." It worked for "Till Death."
Bad news for "Gossip Girl." Having to battle both "Bionic Woman" and "Private Practice" the teen sudser went down 30% to only 2.55 million. Now that they've seen what the competition is all about will some of the viewers come back or stay away?
Finally, NBC's new cop drama "Life" at 10:00 p.m. did as well as "Dirty Sexy Money," posting a little over 10 million viewers. Call me subjective, but for some reason, I believe the latter is however likely to get more time-delayed DVR views.

I'm not surprised by the success of either show (PP or BW). They both had good marketing and fan bases.
I am shocked by "Life". The promos were bad and the concept seemed stale. That is truly NBC's success. I don't how they did it.
And I feel asleep during "Dirty Sexy Money".
why's william baldwin pulling a 'cootchie coo' face on that shot?
DSM is falling victim to the death timeslot of 10PM on Wednesday nights. The only show to survive that timeslot in recent years has been Lost, and even that took a severe beating in the ratings during that timeslot. It's a tough timeslot for ABC and that could spell doom for DSM.
I actually didn't dislike DSM. I'll have to give it a little more time before I actually know if I like it or not.
Private Practice, now THAT, I did enjoy a lot more then I expected to. I'm glad it got good ratings.
Now all we gotta do is wait another week to see how the TRUE gem of this season, Pushing Daisies, will do.(Prays for it to get at least 15 mil
I really REALLy want Gossip Girl to survive, I am totally hooked on this new show. I hated Private Practice, I turned it off after 10 minutes.
