"Desperate Housewife" Teri Hatcher Models for Badgley Mischka
Teri Hatcher who plays klutzy Susan Mayer Delfino on ABC's "Desperate Housewives" is the new model for the 2007 fall campaign for American fashion label Badgley Mischka who designed the second wedding dress worn by Kristin Davis as Charlotte York on HBO's classic series "Sex and the City."
The label established by Mark Badgley and James Mischka in 1988 is known for red-carpet-style evening wear popular with celebrities like Oprah Winfrey.
They recently launched a new line of denim, swimwear and sunglasses. The label also owns a successful bridal business founded in 1993.
The Olson twins and Sharon Stone had been hired as spokespersons for the label in the past.
The designers had already created a gown for Teri Hatcher she wore to the Emmys back in the 90s when she starred on ABC's "Lois & Clark."
They allegedly asked Teri to model for them after bumping into her at last May's "American Idol" finale.
The photo shoot took place at a Bel Air, California mansion.
Teri wore a sultry and sexy black lame evening gown, a purple gown with a jeweled collar, a blouson cocktail dress and a cotton tweed pantsuit — accessorized with a python handbag.
The ads will run next month, when all fashion houses roll out their fall campaigns making September issues of major fashion and beauty magazines the thickest of the year.
