Eva Longoria & Tony Parker Married (Updated)
JULY 6, 2007: "Desperate Housewife" Eva Longoria and NBA star Tony Parker have gotten married in a low-profile civil ceremony this morning in Paris, France. The couple were wed by the mayor of the French capital. Now updated with additional Chanel luncheon pictures.
French law requires couples who marry to make their vows official at a city hall, even if they have a church wedding as well.
The "Desperate Housewives" star showed up in a white stretch limo with a California license plate wearing a short pink Chanel dress with striped black and white straps, while Parker arrived in a gray mini van in a dark suit.
The couple will have a second wedding ceremony on Saturday at a Paris church that once served French royals. Then, they and their guests are to party at Vaux-le-Vicomte, a 17th-century chateau 55 kilometers (34 miles) southeast of Paris.
In an interview with Le Parisien newspaper published Friday, Parker said he was eager to have kids.
"That would be even better than my NBA titles, even if I don't compare private life and sports," he said.
"Eva talks to me about it all the time. I'd like to have girls, because I come from a world of boys."
He also said he considers himself "the luckiest guy in the world. I feel blessed, lucky, and I realize it," he said.
The pictures below are taken from the boat dinner party on the river Seine Longoria and Parker organized for friends and family yesterday to celebrate their nuptials. Guests included Jessica Alba and Mario Lopez. Earlier on Thursday, Longoria held a luncheon for all the girls at Chanel.
UPDATE: Here are a few more images taken at yesterday's Chanel luncheon.
