David Beckham Gets Own Reality Show
Soccer star David Beckham is getting his own reality show on British television similar to his wife's one-hour NBC special, but more football-focused. The program will follow the 32-year-old from his final match for Europe's Real Madrid to his new career with Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy. More on the story, plus several images taken at last Sunday's match, after the jump.
British tabloid The Sun reported on Tuesday that ITV special will chronicle Beckham's move across the Atlantic, but it will feature very little footage of his wife Victoria or their 3 sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.
The special will give an insight into Beckham's own thoughts about the move. The network previously aired "David Beckham: A Footballer's Story," which followed his preparation for the 2006 World Cup.
The network hasn't decided when David's show will air on ITV.
It also plans to buy the rights to "Coming to America," which went from an originally planned six-episode series to a one-hour special after David was recalled to play for the English national soccer team.
"Coming to America" will premiere on NBC on Monday, July 16 giving the viewers an exclusive inside peek into the lives of former Spice Girl Victoria and her family in the US.
