"Brothers & Sisters" Named Outstanding Drama Series at GLAAD Media Awards
It was a truly great night for the ABC television network at Saturday night's GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles. In addition to honors for "Grey's Anatomy" and "Ugly Betty" the network's must-see family drama "Brothers & Sisters" was also honored for its fair, accurate and inclusive representation of gay people.
The drama revolves around the lives and loves of five (make that six now) siblings of the Walker family, one of whom (Kevin played by Welsh actor Matthew Rhys) happens to be a gay man.
Executive Producer Jon Robin Baitz and actor Matthew Rhys, with co-stars Dave Annable, Balthazar Getty, Rachel Giffiths, Ron Rifkin and Patricia Wettig went on stage to accept the award.
"What an honor," said Baitz. "I don't know how you do a show about five children and not have one of them be gay."

YOu know, it's quite annoying to see Jason Lewis attend this event and not Luke MacFarlane, since the video they used comprises of Kevin & Scotty scenes. I just think it's unfair for the actor who really made Kevin lovable since the start of the show.

Totally agree with you on that.
I, for one, was happy when Jason Lewis stint on B&S was done... i don't really like the way he acts...Almost every scene that had him in it made me squint.. And he had no chemistry with 'Kevin' whatsoever.
Let Kevin have a longer relationship on B&S in season 2... preferably with Scotty...
Kinda had enough of his interchangeble BF's

You should be on my mailing list for Luke. lol. We are talking about how much we want Scotty back on B&S and how much we hate Chad's character and such.
You have the same opinions as some of us who believe that Kevin should have a longer term relationship rather than be serial dating.
And it's so true that Jason Lewis can't act, because he had no chemistry with Matthew Rhys whatsoever. I mean, Matthew was displaying all the passion and chemistry for both of them. With Luke, otoh, it's very natural...Matt and Luke don't even have to kiss and they have sparks of passion and chemistry on screen, when they're fighting and when they're not fighting. I love how they act off each other.
