24 #6.16: "9:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M." What an Awful Day
What a mess this day has turned into! And I don't mean that in any positive sense. The award-winning and critically acclaimed thriller "24" has found itself in its sixth season ticking into a truly dreadful day.
Similarly to "Prison Break", "24" demands a generous helping of suspension of viewer disbelief. There is however a reasonable amount of nonsense one can take before they begin to weep in pain.
Let us assume President Palmer did miraculously recover from that doctor-induced coma in less than one hour sitting all dressed up, getting ready to stand up to Powers Boothe's nasty Vice President.
But after we spend an almost entire hour watching him battle the Vice President, risking his own life and a Supreme Court hearing to have the nuclear strike canceled, he goes ahead and orders the strike himself because he didn't want to be perceived a week leader? What?! Who came up with that garbage? The writers of "Titans"? Holy hogwash!
Luckily, the writers decided not to remind us how they wasted the talents of James Cromwell (Jack's father,) Gregory Itzin (former President Logan) and Jean Smart (former First Lady) this season by not bringing their characters back for the episode. If anyone still cares.
Apart from the cheesy and insulting cliff hanger the episode featured the exit of Rade Serbedzija as Dmitri Gredenko who had his own arm cut off to escape CTU surveillance.
Who can blame him? I want to escape as well. If only tomorrow came faster.
This is TELEVISIONISTA

"24" is still the best, most exciting show on TV. This year is not a good as all the previous years, but it's still a wonderful show. I don't think they used Keifer enough this year.
