TV Ratings: "Dancing" Fuels "Bachelor"
Although it lost over 2 million viewers since last week's performance show, ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" dominated an unusual 8:00-9:45pm timeslot with 17,9 million viewers, while NCAA scored 16,84 million for CBS at 9pm.
Airing opposite repeats of CBS comedies at 8pm, FOX's "Prison Break" reached an underwhelming second season conclusion with only 8,01 million viewers matching last week's season low. The drama was however stronger in the 18-49 demo than the second placed "Deal or no Deal" on NBC (11,88 million).
Then at 9pm FOX's "24" continued its slump hitting a new season low of 10,85 million viewers. Day 6 has turned into quite a bit of a disaster and the viewers seem to have recognized that.
Good news for ABC's reality franchise "The Bachelor" (Andy Baldwin, pictured above). A new season premiered at 9:45 pm scoring 10,11 million viewers, over 2 million more than the audience that tuned into the Rome edition. The program was however fueled by its powerhouse lead-in "Dancing with the Stars".
Just-yanked "The Black Donnellys" hit a new low with 5,42 million viewers at 10pm.
