Kissing Jason Lewis Not Scary For ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" Star Matthew Rhys
The star of ABC's family drama "Brothers & Sisters" Welsh actor Matthew Rhys who plays Kevin Walker, the show's gay character, has responded to a recent statement of his co-star Jason Lewis who found kissing scenes with Rhys "scary".
Earlier this month, former "Sex and the City" star Jason Lewis who once sizzled opposite Kim Cattral's bed-hopper Samantha, said in an interview with the syndicated entertainment magazine "Extra" he was scared of locking lips with Rhys.
On Monday, gay entertainment blog "After Elton" published an interview with Rhys who responded by saying he "didn't think it's ever really problematic."
The actor thinks if one is fortunate enough to be confident and secure in themselves, and know it's a role they play, he didn't see where the problem lied, really.
Rhys also disclosed his first theater job was a gay part with a lot of kissing in it.

Is Matthew gay? He also played a gay character in last years Love and Other Disasters...
It wouldn't be scary for me to kiss Jason Lewis either LOL, but that was a rather silly comment by Jason...how is he gonna react when he has to have oral sex with Matthew? LOL
LOL. I don't think Matthew is gay. But he sure knows how to play gay. Jason Lewis doesn't seem too comfortable in his role, though.
Matthew Rhys Evans is not gay. Purely hetero, but he has played several gay roles that involved a lot of kissing. So, Matt has experience (??) under his belt (so to speak...and no, let's get our minds out of the gutter) when it comes to same sex kissing. He's very comfortable and he exudes the necessary chemistry to be believable. This is what makes for a wonderful actor.
Jason Lewis, on the other hand, shows a lot of fear in his acting. Yeah, it may be his first same-sex kiss, but he is an actor...he shouldn't let his fears and prejudicism interfere with the believability factor, and so far, he is not anywhere close to being believable as a gay man...closeted, yes...gay man, no.
