"Ugly Betty" Star To Play Riggins' Dad On "Friday Night Lights"
Brett Cullen who plays a Texas millionaire and Vanessa Williams' romantic interest on ABC's "Ugly Betty" is joining NBC's "Friday Night Lights" where he will play Riggins brothers' deadbeat father.
According to TV Guide, Tim Riggins will try to track down his father to settle a pending legal issue, but once he finds him, the two men create a surprising bond. The storyline takes place in early 2007.
Don't forget there is an all-new episode of "Friday Night Lights" tonight at 8/7c on NBC entitled "It's Different For Girls".
The attention is focused off the football team for once and onto their biggest supporters - the cheerleaders. As the cheer team prepares for the Championship Classic, word of Lyla and Riggins affair causes Lyla to become the victim of brutal high school harassment.
Matt and Julie also have problems of their own as Coach Taylor tries to keep the two of them apart in order to protect his daughter.
Meanwhile, Jason adjusts to life back home after being released from rehab. His lawyer, however, is circling around and looking for someone to sue for Jason's injury.
Finally, Smash falls for the preacher's daughter.
Tonight is the final episode of "Friday Night Lights" for 2006. The show moves to its new timeslot (Wednesdays at 8/7c) starting January 10.
