No Batman In Smallville
Last night on a 'fresh' episode of The CW's "Smallville" (as The WB used to refer to them) Lex proposed to a pregnant Lana. Whether or not she says "yes" the fans will have to wait till January to find out, despite the fact that there is one more new episode scheduled for December. So, what's in store for TV's young Superman?
The episode that featured a special appearance of WWE star Dave Batista and the very first glimpse of a DC Comics Oreo-munching character Martian Manhunter, set the stage for taking that Lex and Lana romance (that Entertainment Weekly referred to as 'pure genius') to a whole new level.
In December, following reruns of "Zod" and "Sneeze" (2 episodes that kicked off this season), The CW will air the episode "Subterranean" in which Clark finds immigrants being exploited at a farm next to the Kents.
Then in January, in the episode "Hydro", Lois gives the Green Arrow a kiss after he rescues her from thugs and she realizes it might be her beloved Oliver under that costume. The man getting the smooch is however a rather perplexed Clark.
Finally, on a very special episode called "Justice League" Oliver tries to put together a league of superheroes. Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash reappear.
Martian Manhunter does not appear in the episode, but he will be back later during the February sweeps. Contrary to the rumors, Batman will not be one of those characters, as confirmed by the show's executive producers recently.
Finally, the episode will feature a special appearance by Tori Spelling who gets a job at the Daily Planet.
