ABC's "SIX DEGREES" CONTINUES TO BLEED
"Grey's Anatomy" (22,82 million) has taken over the crown of the #1 scripted drama in America from CSI (21,58 million) and last Thursday was no exception. Of course, there is little doubt that the #1 show in America will once again be FOX's American Idol when the reality contest returns for a sixth season in January 2007.
There was good news for The CW as its Thursday night fantasy block of "Smallville" (4,93 million) and "Supernatural" (3,7 million) grew as opposed to its performance a week earlier. Ditto for ABC's "Ugly Betty" which posted 13,81 million making the series the biggest new hit of the fall season and, as already reported, giving it a full season renewal.
The weakest link in ABC's hit line-up remains "Six Degrees" at 10pm retaining as little as 40% of Grey's audience, nabbing 9,10 million viewers. The too-complex-to-follow drama may soon be heading for a different timeslot or 'hiatus' (nowadays a more diplomatic expression for 'cancellation').
