NBC SCORES WITH "HEROES", "RUNAWAY" PREMIERES BELOW "EVERWOOD" AVERAGE
NBC has scored almost 15 million viewers with their new fantasy series "Heroes" sending FOX's "Vanished" to the last place. The abduction drama lost yet another million viewers this week and may indeed vanish before we learn who kidnapped Sarah Collins.
Over at The CW, an almost unrecognizable artificially resurrected 11th season premiere of "7th Heaven" plunged over 20% from last year's opener on The WB. The new drama "Runaway" did even worse. It scored minuscule 2,01 mil viewers ending up at the bottom of the ratings chart. This is not a good day for Dawn Ostroff.
"Studio 60" dipped somewhat in the 10pm slot, but still managed to post respectable numbers (over 11 mil viewers). "The Class" on CBS lost some considerable steam (minus 2 million viewers), giving folks behind "How I Met Your Mother" a reason to celebrate as their sitcom actually grew on Class' poor numbers.
The most watched show on Monday night in America was the procedural drama CSI: Miami, which nabbed over 17 million viewers. CBS won the night in overall viewers, and NBC scored high in the 18-49 demo.
