"Heroes" Spoilers: Season 3 Premiere
After the much criticized second season, fans of NBC's sci-fi saga "Heroes" are eager to see what direction the show takes in year 3. A 10-month wait is almost over - it all begins with a 3-hour event on Monday, September 22.
The night will kick off with a 1-hour clip show, followed by 2 episodes airing back-to-back: "The Second Coming" and "The Butterfly Effect." The season opener has already screened at Comi-Con.
According to NBC, season 3 starts moments after shots rang out, as "the shocking identity of Nathan’s assassin and the reasons why the Texas press conference had to be cut short are revealed -- immediately throwing Peter and Matt into unexpected, uncharted territory."
What NBC didn't say (and you will see in the opening moments of the episode) is that the assassin was future Peter who had a strong reason to stop Nathan. The now infamous scene from the promos in which real-life couple Milo and Hayden collide, launches the new season.
With his powers partially restored, an invisible Sylar decides a visit to Claire could give him a boost. He cuts her head open to take over her powers, but ultimately saves her from dying.
Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Hiro and Ando are charged with safeguarding a family secret that could split the planet apart, and discover that the path to a grim future starts with shady speedster, Daphne (guest star Brea Grant). It all begins with a DVD message from Hiro's deceased father.
In New York City, thanks to Maya, Suresh makes a startling breakthrough that could change the world -- or just destroy his, as he acquires super powers of his own. And what does Nikki have in common with Tracy Strauss?

I'm a little skeptical for Heroes since it disappointed big time in season 2. The story line about future Peter trying to Kill Nathan is really good. Let's see how they go with that.
