Da Lohans Vs. Denise Richards

Their new shows air back to back on Sunday nights on E! Entertainment Network and we know Denise Richards' "It's Complicated" is doing a little better in the ratings than fame-hungry Mama and Little Sis Lohan's train-wreck of a reality disaster "Living Lohan" (scoring about 1.5 million viewers). But is any of the two actually watchable?

I may look back at this post and regret saying this, but "It's Complicated" has become my guilty pleasure of the summer of 2008. Not to mention my little gal crush on Ms. Richards.

Several tedious pig-related moments aside, the show gets into full gear as Denise goes out on a date with a Matt Dillon fan; gets into a juicy catfight with a People Magazine celebrity reporter; and discusses the possibility of doing another racy Playboy shoot with her disapproving family.

I don't remember the last time I found someone throwing expletives around cute. But Denise certainly knows how to pull it off. And she fires them off with her trademark smile.



A classic line from the show? After Denise left the obnoxious Lycia Nuff's People Magazine office she exclaimed: "Well that went well. I called her a c***. Oh boy!" as if the confrontation was entirely out of her control.

Former Bond girl Richards whose parenting skills have been questioned over this production courtesy of her former husband Charlie Sheen and the media, has been involved in Hollywood's nastiest divorce and custody battle ever.

Now, as for the other telecast on the E! menu, I could barely sit through the pilot episode of the aggravatingly irritating "Living Lohan," so I might as well save some virtual ink on that. "Denise Richards: It's Complicated" airs Sunday nights at 10:00pm on E!
