TV Ratings: Wednesday (1/30/08)
"American Idol" continued to bleed on Wednesday night. Of course, scoring 25.33 million viewers still makes you an indisputable winner in the Nielsen race, but last year at this time the show pulled in a much stronger 31.45 million. Meanwhile, an enhanced "LOST" repeat did better than any other rerun on ABC this season.
"LOST" was consistent throughout its 2-hour run. If these ratings are any indication, we can expect a solid 4th season premiere on Thursday evening.
Surprisingly or not, CBS' line-up of repeats finished in the fourth place on Wednesday, both in total viewers and adults 18-49, dragged down by repeats of "Old Christine".
NBC managed to grab a distant second place. Its game show "Deal Or No Deal" repeats very well, pulling in almost 11 million viewers in the second half hour.
Finally, in week 2, FOX's tasteless game show "Moment of Truth" lost quite a bit of steam, but still managed to come out as one of the strongest reality hours this season.
Whether you like it or not, it seems the show is here to stay. Unless there is further viewer erosion, of course.

I am SO crossing my fingers Justin that Lost is going to do well, I'm worried that with all the reality shows around it and the repeats, that many viewers have just turned off TV. I'm hoping it does 12 to 13 million, at least.
I'm sure it will. I'm actually hoping for more. Say 14-15 million. But one never knows, I guess.
thanks for the ratings. Justin.
