"Cane" Spoilers: Finale on December 18?
CBS' Florida-based soap "Cane" may have come to the end of the road. Although the show hasn't been canceled (yet), it doesn't look too good for the Jimmy Smits fronted drama, as the ratings continue to plummet and CBS gets ready to burn off the remaining episodes in December.
Following last night's preemption for Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the drama will be back next Tuesday at a special time of 9/8c with a 2-hour installment.
Then a week later, on December 18, the network will air episode #113 which may end up being the show's series finale.
"Cane" premiered on September 25 pulling in 11.12 million viewers and finishing second in the timeslot (beating ABC's 90-minute premiere of "Boston Legal").
The show then gradually bled all the way to 6.46 million viewers who tuned into last week's episode. The writers' strike may have been the only reason CBS kept the show on air.
