TV Ratings: Tuesday (11/27/07)
As expected, the 2-hour finale of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" was massive, pulling in almost 25 million viewers. Meanwhile, despite airing against that juggernaut, FOX's "House" scored almost 17 million viewers.
There was more good news for ABC which ended the night a strong #1 in both total viewers and adults 18-49, courtesy of a rerun of a proven classic "A Charlie Brown Christmas" which scored double the ratings of ABC's regular comedy combo.
Bad news for CBS whose vulnerable soap "Cane" could not stand the pressure of "Dancing with the Stars" and dipped to a series low of just 6.46 million. I would suppose CBS may pull the plug at this point.
Kudos to NBC's "Law & Order: SVU," though. The show continues to deliver, building on its lower rated lead-in by over 5 million viewers, again - despite airing against "Dancing with the Stars."
ABC:
A Charlie Brown Christmas (R) (13.57 million)
Dancing With the Stars (24.93 million)
CBS:
NCIS (17.06 million)
The Unit (10.48 million)
Cane (6.46 viewers)
NBC:
The Biggest Loser (7.25 million)
Law & Order: SVU (12.29 million)
FOX:
Bones (9.62 million)
House (16.86 million)
The CW:
Beauty and the Geek (2.52 million)
Reaper (2.26 million)

I'm not surprised by Cane's low rating with all the big shows on last night. I hate for CBS to give up on this show. It has great potential and is more entertaining each week.
