Only 1 More "Prison Break" in 2007

Although "Prison Break" was supposed to run with no interruptions until December 17 and then return in April, FOX has changed its mind in the light of the writers' strike sending the show on hiatus after November 12 episode. "Prison Break" will then return with 5 episodes ("Boxed In" will be the 1st) on January 14.

Since, as I always say, burning fresh episodes off in the repeat-heavy month of December makes absolutely no sense - especially when you know there might be no new episodes for a while - the decision is logical and expected.

Holding off the remaining 5 episodes will help keep "Prison Break" on the schedule all the way into the February sweeps. The show will stay in its 8pm timeslot and will lead into the new series "The Sarah Connor Chronicles."

If the strike is resolved quickly, the cast and crew will try to come up with the remaining 9 episodes of the show's 22 episode order. Otherwise, episode #13 which will air at some point in February will be the 3rd season finale.
