FOX Removes "24" From Schedule
The writers' strike may cost the people involved with the production of FOX's "24" a year's worth of work - the network has decided to take season 7 of the clock-ticking drama off the schedule until the strike is resolved. The show which is already behind production schedule may most probably not be able to return to FOX before January 2009.
The show originally intended to lead-into a new season of "24" "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" will move up to 9pm to fill the vacant slot and premiere as originally planned on January 14.
Emmy-winning "24" was heavily criticized in its disappointing 6th season and the writers promised a radical shift in storytelling.
If the show is off the schedule for 19 months all bets are off with regard to its future - the ratings have already gone down about 33% last spring.
