"Murder Club" Thursday Tryout: Mixed Results (TV Ratings: Thursday, 11/15/07)
The good news is that ABC's female-friendly procedural "Women's Murder Club" rose 65% among adults 18-49 (2.0 to 3.3). The bad news is, the show did as poorly as the timeslot regular occupant "Big Shots" retaining only 45% of the 19.28 million viewers who tuned into "Grey's Anatomy" (that's 8.93 million viewers).
"Women's Murder Club" is not doing very well in the demo in its regular timeslot on Friday nights because many young adults are simply not at home watching TV.
If ABC will be content with WMC being an older-skewing show, they might as well keep it on Friday nights where it has finally given the network some visibility.
That means "Big Shots" should either stay on Thursday nights, or - if the Alphabet decides to swing the ax - they may look for a better fit out of the medical drama.
Personally I'd love to see "Brothers & Sisters" move to Thursdays at 10. That way ABC could pair "Desperate Housewives" and "Dirty Sexy Money" off on Sundays - a match made in heaven!
But I digress. Here are now the rest of the ratings:
ABC:
Ugly Betty (10.73 million)
Grey's Anatomy (19.28 million)
Women's Murder Club (8.93 million)
CBS:
Survivor (14.76 million)
CSI (21.29 million)
Without a Trace (14.49 million)
NBC:
My Name Is Earl (7.97 million)
30 Rock (6.47 million)
The Office (8.86 million)
Scrubs (6.04 million)
ER (9.52 million)
FOX:
Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? (9.60 million)
Don't Forget the Lyrics (6.01 million)
The CW:
Smallville (4.49 million)
Supernatural (2.89 million)
