VIDEO Update: "Ugly Betty" Christmas

ABC has released new images of the Suarez family from "Ugly Betty" celebrating the holidays. They are taken from the episode which airs on Thanksgiving Thursday, November 22. Plus, how many episodes of the show are we getting if the writers' strike continues? Check it all out, after the jump. UPDATE: A promo and a sneak peek.





After the holiday episode (#9), ABC will air a repeat of the season premiere on November 29, followed by episode #10, currently in production.

After that the show will go into repeats for the holidays, but unlike "Grey's Anatomy" or "Desperate Housewives" which end before Christmas, it may return with 3 more episodes in January.

Show runner Silvio Horta said he and the writers worked hard last weekend to finish the script for episode #13. He now faces a tough choice whether to help produce the episodes or walk out completely.

Horta says the perfectionist in him wants to be on the set and ensure the best quality of the end product, but a Norma Rae in him wants to support the union. He may opt to help produce the show from his home by phone.
