An ambulance crash endangers the lives of the paramedics involved, as Meredith and the Chief work on-site to save them, Bailey treats a patient who refuses her help, and Ava returns for Alex and meets his other girlfriend in the process.
This episode will be followed by the 2nd season premiere of "October Road." The week after, on November 29, there will be no new episode of "Grey's Anatomy." 2 more episodes will air after this one, before ABC runs out of fresh episodes.

Why is Ava wearing scrubs?
...That's not Ava Alex is kissing lol. That's Meredith's sister.
Speaking of Ava - Did they ever say where she went or if she's coming back? It was really random for her to have just left like that and then Alex hooks up with Meredith's sister..
That is Ava wearing the scrubs!! LOL
She came back last episode and wanted to watch Alex work, so he dressed her in scrubs and snuck her into the observation room.
