Family Friendly "Ugly Betty"
ABC's "Ugly Betty" was recognized last night at the Family Friendly Programming Forum's ninth annual Family Television Awards as "outstanding comedy programming for family viewing."
Awards were presented in 11 categories. Here are some of the winners:
UGLY BETTY, ABC (Comedy)
HEROES, NBC (Drama)
PLANET EARTH, Discovery Channel (Miniseries or Special)
HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2, Disney Channel (Movie)
PUSHING DAISIES, ABC (New Series)
KYLE XY, ABC Family (Cable Series)
ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER?, FOX (Reality Show)
America Ferrera ("Ugly Betty"), Kyle Chandler ("Friday Night Lights"), Zac Efron ("High School Musical") and Zachary Levi ("Chuck") were also honored.
The Family Friendly Programming Forum is an initiative of Association of National Advertisers.
It is not to be confused with the conservative Parents Television Council which brands shows like "Ugly Betty," "Brothers & Sisters" and "Desperate Housewives" inappropriate for families because of being supposedly sexually implicit and/or having gay content.

I can understand PD but why UB? Usually family friendly programming is programming which either totally lacks, or doesn't have as a main plot, sexually suggestive storylines. I thought that was what defined a family friendly program. Guess they changed it as the culture has become more accepting of permiscuous behavior. Decline of the culture continues. Well, I'm happy for PD anyway. That show, I believe, deserves the award.
Didn't a guy want Amanda to step on his junk in her stilettos. Kinda kinky, no?
