TV Ratings: "Prison Break" Drops 20%
Although the official TV season doesn't begin till Monday, a 3rd season of "Prison Break" and a new post-Katrina New Orleans-set series "K-ville" launched last night on FOX, with mixed results.
Are some fans of "Prison Break" starting to get tired of the show's implausible storylines? Last night's episode "Orientacion" scored only 7.4 million total viewers, which was a 20% drop from last year's season premiere (August 21, 2006, 9.37 million).
"Prison Break" may unfortunately shed even more viewers in the coming weeks as beginning next week the remaining networks unleash new episodes of competing shows. Unless those numbers perk up, this may be the final season for "Prison Break."
Meanwhile, critically-panned new series "K-Ville" actually built from its lead in, pulling in 8.96 million viewers at 9 p.m. Of course, those numbers may also go down once NBC starts a new season of "Heroes" next week.

Well, looks like Fox may be in trouble on Monday Nights. Good thing I could care less about anything on Monday's.
