"Desperate Housewives" Go to Hell

After two years of heaven-themed promotion, including being covered in red apples as part of the 2005 "Juicy" campaign, "Desperate Housewives" are ready to go to hell.

ABC has unveiled the poster for the new "Hell of a Day" campaign that began on Sunday with the premiere of the new 60-second promo featuring the Jennifer Lopez track "Mile in These Shoes."

"Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry has promised the new 4th season (begins September 30) will contain a dark mystery storyline involving the new neighbors played by Dana Dalany, Nathan Fillion and Lyndsy Fonseca.

Unlike the unfortunate Applewhites back in the not-so-juicy season 2, the Mayfairs storyline will be intertwined with those of the rest of the Wisteria Lane ladies and in addition to being dark and creepy, it will also be laced with humor.

Following the departure of "Bang" episode writer Joe Keenan, fellow "Frasier" scribe Bob Daily was promoted to executive producer. John Pardee and Joey Murphy who have been writing for the show since season one, have also been promoted.

Heaven-themed promotions? Not really. I think the new hell promotion is more fitting as that's where most of the characters are headed, lol.
