Katie Cassidy Joins "Supernatural"

Katie Cassidy, daughter of 70s pop star David Cassidy, who will play Lucy Ewing in the upcoming big screen version of the classic CBS soap "Dallas," has joined the cast of The CW's "Supernatural" as a demon hunter.


The young actress who had done modeling for Abercrombie and Fitch and Guess's Rock and Republic line was also seen on pages of teen magazines while she was dating pop singer Jesse McCartney.



On "Supernatural" Cassidy will play Ruby, a fellow demon hunter Sam and Dean meet in the show's third season premiere. In the casting breakdown, the character is described as "sexy, brutal and ruthless."
