"Heroes" Lesbian Cheerleader Plot Cut Short
The producers of NBC's hit drama "Heroes" have decided to cut Lyndsy Fonseca's storyline short because the actress, who recently joined the series as Claire's (Hayden Panettiere) gay pal, was also cast as Dana Delany's daughter on "Desperate Housewives."
Foncesca will appear in one episode when "Heroes" kicks off its sophomore season in the fall. Creator Tim Kring explained at the TCA panel her character was originally supposed to grow. She however wasn't a pivotal character.
Following last year's debacle with Claire's original gay pal Zach (Thomas Dekker), the producers of the NBC series (some of whom are gay themselves) have promised to represent the gay community on the show in the future with more tact.

they damn well better have more tact. they just give us hope to dash it right after.
not good. i love this show but i still wonder why they don't represent a more diverse group. come on, if the formula mohinder uses is correct there should be more latinos, blacks and asians in the mix. also there have been no gay characters apart from mr ambiguous (aka claire's friend) which is just plain wrong in my opinion.
oh grow up, who cares about gay anything. Just enjoy the show.
