Back in Business
I go offline for 5 days and Dana Delany gets a "Desperate" gig, Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie reveal they're pregnant, "Private Practice" cast is shaken up, the Princes celebrate their mother, Tom Cruise goes back in business and I'm not even talking about those salacious paparazzi images of Mrs. McSteamy getting McGrabby or Tony Parker flashing his behind. Talk about overwhelmed!
The truth is, there I was, bitchlapping my way through Saturday morning, exchanging insults with JJ in the comments section of the last Paris Hilton post (am I a bad person for getting a kick out of that?), getting ready to update the blog, when I realize that my fuzzy little bundle of joy has cancer and I take him to the vet, but it's too late and come Sunday morning he passes away.
Now, call me over-sensitive, but I was so crushed by his death over the past three days that the last thing I could do is get myself to blog about Britney Spears' va-jay-jay. I've never really had a pet before, so losing one now was an entirely new experience for me, and let's just say I didn't take it too well. I adored the little fella. But, life does go on. Rest in peace, Butterball. I will always love you.
Now, did you guys hear about this website that gives blogs film ratings? The whole spiel is a hoax to promote a dating service, and it is completely unreliable because it gives Perez Hilton a PG-13 rating, but just for shits and giggles, I decided to see how it would rate "Televisionista".
Now, you may have noticed that this blog is accessible via two URLs: http://televisionista.blogspot.com and http://www.televisionista.net. Although the content is the same, the wacko website gave us two different ratings - the former gets FC-17 due to, among other, the frequent use of the word "gay".
The latter however, for some inexplicable reason, gets a good old and harmless G for general audiences, kids included. And get this - it is because there are no "bad" words on the blog. So "gay" is a bad word. Uhm... If you ever resort to using an online dating service, please make sure you avoid these losers, they're called Mingle2.
Hey, I have an idea.
Gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay.
Will using that word 69 times get me an R rating now? :)
All right. Enough of that. Welcome back to TELEVISIONISTA. And to all of you in the US - Happy 4th of July!
