"LOST" to End in 2009?

Planet Gossip on E! Online reports that "LOST" may indeed be coming to an end by the end of the 2008-2009 season.

Earlier this year, the producers of the drama announced that they were in talks with ABC to end the drama when it runs it course creatively.

Unlike genre hits like "The X-Files" that its network milked for all it's worth until it completely ran out of steam, Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof said they were hoping ABC would allow them to end the series when they deem appropriate.

In the past the producers said the envisioned the series to run for about 100 episodes and they were now ideally in the middle.

If ABC does announce the end of "LOST" in 2009, the series will have ended after about 120 episodes. Stay tuned.
