Sarah Jessica Parker to Launch Fashion Label

The woman who redefined fashion and style on HBO's "Sex and the City" is about to launch her own fashion label. In an interview with Glamour Magazine, Sarah Jessica Parker reveals she intends to aim at high street market.

Speaking of other celebrities who launched their own fashion lines, the actress said: "Madonna's H&M line is extremely directional, provocative and sexy. I don't know J-Lo's line as well, but I know that it's much more trendy than Bitten."

"L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani is much more avant-garde, definitely high fashion. But I don't want to do that for women, because that's not really their lives.

"It's a way of giving women without financial means access to good, simple, well-made clothes to feel proud of."

The actress has recently criticized young Hollywood celebrities who gained fame by being "vulgar" and "awful" has been a fashion icon since her days as sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw.

The pictures are taken from an event "Night & Day Exibition of Evening Bags and Vanities" which took place on Thursday night.
