TV Ratings: "Idol" Superior, But Deflated

"American Idol" was once again the most-watched program in America last night scoring 25,86 million viewers. The numbers are however down - over 10% since the same time last year and over 30% since the season began.

"House" kept most of those viewers locked to FOX at 9pm (22,57 million), while "Dancing with the Stars" results show was a solid second with 16,17 million viewers.

Two 10 p.m. news magazines focused on the Virginia Tech tragedy. ABC's Primetime however sparked stronger viewer interest with 11,34 million viewers vs. 48 Hours Mystery on CBS with 6,49 million.
