TV Ratings: "Dolls" Repeat Scores Higher Than Original

The CW's reality combo of "America's Next Top Model" (5,15 million) and a repeat of Tuesday's "The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll" (3,53 million) lured impressive numbers on Wednesday night.

"America's Next Top Model" was the second most watched telecast in the 8pm hour among 18-49 year olds (the demo advertisers crave), while "Dolls" post-Model repeat had more "meow" than the original telecast a day earlier (2,52 million).

Although it no longer faces "American Idol", last fall's surprise new hit CBS's "Jericho" has obviously lost its steam. Wednesday's 8pm episode was seen by only 7,76 million, the drama lost almost half a million viewers since the previous week.

FOX's comedy "Till Death" posted its highest numbers ever scoring 14 million viewers in its new post-Idol slot. Although one could say anything would get strong numbers following "American Idol", the recent series finale of "The O.C." managed to get only half those numbers.

A truly excellent episode of ABC's "LOST" scored 12,12 million viewers at 10pm. Although one could argue the drama has now settled in the low 12-million figure, the fact of the matter is it lost another 220,000 viewers since the previous week, once again hitting a new series low. When will the bleeding stop?

  1. Well I think that Jericho won't be coming back for another season because of this low ratings.I don't know what CBS is thinking but I read on too many sites that this show won't get a second season and in my oppinion after the break something happened (maybe it is American Idol, maybe the story I don't know).
I hope the numbers will grow next wednesday.

  2. Lost's bleed surprised me. I expected it after Episode 9, but after episode 11 too? I hope that the remarkable episode 12 at least stabalizes the viewers. Or else they might have to move Lost again.

  3. I'm hoping that CBS will take action to draw viewers back and secure another season for "Jericho". The long hiatus really hurt this show, but the story deepens with every episode.
