VIDEO: Diana Ross Performs on "American Idol"
Backup singer Brandon Rogers who forgot the words to his song on Tuesday night was the first top-12 contestant to be voted off in last Wednesday's edition of "American Idol" as an exuberant Diana Ross performed "More Today, Than Yesterday" from her new CD "I Love You."
25,61 million viewers tuned in to see who goes home and after Rogers, a 28-year old native of Los Angeles California, was told Sanjaya Malakar miraculously dodged another bullet this week, he said he didn't have any hard feelings as he expected he would be leaving the Idol stage.
Phil Stacey also made it to the bottom 3 in the phone ballotting, which drew about 28 million calls and text messages. In addition to that FOX of course made additional significant revenue with premium advertising, Coca-Cola sponsorship and Diana Ross CD product placement.
