TV Ratings: "5th Grader" Continues To Deliver For FOX
FOX's surprise hit "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" continued to capitalize on its plum lead-in holding on to over 76% of the 27+ million viewers who tuned in to see the announcement of the American Idol top-12.
Next week, "5th Grader" will not have that privilege as it moves to its regular timeslot - Thursdays at 8pm. The game show will battle an all-new "Ugly Betty" and NCAA game on CBS.
"Survivor: Fiji" on CBS pulled in 13,72 million viewers, exactly one half of the audience that watched the competing "American Idol" on FOX. The reality show will be pre-empted next week and it returns March 21.
In the battle of top-tier repeats at 9pm "C.S.I." on CBS bested ABC's medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" (15,77 million vs. 8,5 million) proving self-contained episodes do repeat better than serialized dramas.
