Michael & Walt May Never Return To ABC's "LOST"

Actor Harold Perrineau who played single father Michael Dawson on ABC's hit series "LOST" has just been signed to play priest on the CBS pilot "Demons" and sources say he could not reach an agreement with the producers of "LOST" to return to the Emmy-winning drama.

The pilot from CBS Paramount Network TV, centers on Gus, an ex-Jesuit priest-psychologist who performs exorcisms. Perrineau will play a priest who has known Gus since seminary and is his confessor, confidante and good friend.

The actor who is represented by APA sailed off with his on-screen son played by Malcolm David Kelley in the show's second season finale in May and since then the writers have alleged on numerous occasions he may return and we may find out what happened to Michael and Walt after they left the island.

For the moment, the actor's return seems highly unlikely, and his character's fate may have to be revealed off-screen or without the actor's appearance on the show. "Lost" returns tonight at 10pm.
