"Melrose Place" Star Joins "Friday Night Lights"

Brooke Langton who starred on FOX's 90s sudser "Melrose Place" as anemic Billy Campbell's (Andrew Shue) love interest Samantha (1996-1998) is joining the cast of NBC's exceptional character drama "Friday Night Lights".
The actress who recently appeared in cable hit shows "Weeds" and "Monk" was cast as a love interest for resident man-whore Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch). Langton will play a single mom who moves in next door to Riggins.
Langton will first be seen at the end of February sweeps and she is joining the series for at least 4 episodes.

The producers may need some of that "Melrose" magic as recent episodes continue to get pummeled by competition on other networks.
