"Smallville" Shockers: Chloe Killed Off, Lex Crippled?

TV Guide has just reported the character biting the dust on an upcoming spectacular sweeps episode of "Smallville" will be Chloe Sullivan. And a brand new CW still promo depicts a disabled Lex Luthor. Or not?

"Smallville" has kept its core characters hanging between life and death many times in the past, especially in those sensational season-ending cliffhangers.

And just last January the writers killed off Clark Kent's father Jonathan in a life-altering episode for all the key characters.

Now rumor has it, death is looming over the fictional Kansas town once again and it will be the Daily Planet snoop Chloe Sullivan who kicks the bucket this time.

Now, before you get outraged, keep in mind this is all a part of a special, mind-bending episode entitled "Labyrinth" (leading up to the now infamous "Crimson" episode).

If you ever wondered what would have happened if Clark's powers were only a fragment of his imagination, this episode will answer that question.

In addition to Chloe's death, the episode will feature a tragic twist for resident villain Lex Luthor and the Oreo-munching superhero Martian Manhunter returns.
