"Golden Globes" Score Gold For NBC

NBC came out on top last night as the Golden Globes telecast scored over 20 million viewers easily beating out all competition. The second part of the "24" season premiere on FOX came in second with 15,68 million viewers.

CBS's line up was mostly in repeats (apart from the soon-to-conclude "The Class" which was also its weakest link despite an all-new episode) and it scored almost 10 million viewers.

ABC began the night on a decent note with reality programs "Wife Swap" and "Supernanny" bringing over 9 million viewers (on average), but it all went down at 10pm as its anemic drama "What About Brian" scored disappointing 4,75 million.

Hopefully the drama doesn't get canceled before we get to see if Tiffani Thiessen can
spark those ratings up a bit. In any event, I wouldn't hold my breath for a second season.

You know, even if NBC did really well with the Golden Globes, ABC won for the night with two major wins in both drama (Grey's Anatomy) and comedy (Ugly Betty) TV series.

Steve MacPherson must be jumping up and down with joy that ABC has won two major golden globes for their shows.
