"Everwood" Alum Emily Van Camp Joins ABC's "Brothers & Sisters"
JANUARY 22, 2007: They said it would never happen and yet TV Guide has announced today that "Everwood" alum Emily Van Camp will be joining ABC's increasingly popular and very enjoyable family drama "Brothers & Sisters".
Following months of casting deliberations (and a Hillary Duff scare) Canadian-born "Everwood" star Emily Van Camp, who had been screened out early on in the process was ultimately chosen for the coveted role of Rebecca, the illegitimate daughter of William Walker (Tom Skerritt) and Holly (Patricia Wettig).
According to available spoilers, Rebecca will make an appearance in episode #17 (airs at some point in March) when Holly calls her home for the first time after 2 years, telling her she has come into a windfall, but not revealing where the money had come from.
Emily Van Camp is scheduled to start filming her scenes this week on Friday. Touchstone Studio has declined comment.

Thank god no Hystery Duff... And i can't wait to see 'Rebamy' on Brothers and Sisters... Nof if only they would bring back Scotty for more than only the 'Valentine episode
Actually, Rebecca is scheduled to appear in Episode 15--which should air on February 18. (The production number of the episode is actually 2 ahead of the aired number, so episode 117 is actually the 15th episode.)
Also, this matches with Berlanti's statement that Rebecca would be introduced during February Sweeps. Looking forward to EVC's premiere!

I'm sure they will bring back Scotty (Luke MacFarlane) for more than one episode. And I'm sure it's for a bigger arc down the road. I'm also hoping (and praying...well crossing my fingers more like it) that Scotty will have a more permanent fixture than just permanent guest.
As for the Emily VanCamp...I love it! She was definitely the pick I had in mind when the role was announced. So when I did hear she was passed, I was disappointed. But I am happy that Ken Olin redecided and decided to cast her. She's so fits the part of Rebecca.
I don't know why but i keep hoping Skotty's the senator's brother... (can't remember Skotty's last name.. but i am sure they can work around that :)
I think they'll be casting a new actor to play the senator's brother. That'd be too much of a coincidence...
Scotty's last name is "Wandell" and no, he is not the Senator's brother, although some people would love to see that happen. LoL.
Casting for the Senator's brother will most likely start soon, especially if they want a big name since the appearance of the gay brother will come in time for May sweeps.
