Desperate Housewives #3.12: "Not While I'm Around": Sex Kills

The Munsters house is sold to a neighbor even creepier than the Applewhites; Zach and his hair fail to impress a "Ferrari"; the jig is up for McSlutty and Van De Trump; Lynette flashes an old man; and Alma still wants Orson, but "don't tell Bree".

Has anyone ever doubted Alma would fit in on Wisteria Lane? In yet another hilarious episode written by co-executive producer Kevin Murphy, Bree's over-friendly neighbor reveals her undying affections for former husband Orson.

Or are they? I can never tell with this woman. She is obviously manipulating our poor old Bree with frightening expertise. At least we know someone else knows about Orson running over Mike Delfino.

But don't call Orson a murderer yet. Alma only said she knew what he did to Monique, and we still don't know what that is. And those teeth do tell ex Mrs. Hodge is up to no good.

Speaking of the plumber, I do hope Paul's antics help jog his memory, as Mike with no recollection of his past has been quite a bland character so far this season, his rare moments of awkward friendliness with Susan being a moderate exception.

I certainly do appreciate how the lives of neighbors on Wisteria Lane intertwine this year - seeing Danielle in a scene with people we had rarely seen her with before, or Andrew helping out the Scavos most definitely feels like a step in the right direction.

Tom revisited his season one fears that he was a loser married to an overachieving woman and Susan went back to her klutzy self, reminding us what a doll she is when she goes that extra mile to protect her daughter.

Is it just me or has all that money actually made Zach Young less confident than he had been in the past? And I don't remember him acting so silly. I wonder if it is the writing or Cody Kasch's performance.

How clever of ABC not to reveal Zach's new look in their promotional material. Everyone knew he was going to be Gaby's secret admirer, but we sure did not see all that hair coming. Will Gaby ultimately give in? We'll just have to wait another week to find out.
