"The O.C." Flashback Kids Exposed
As the production of "The O.C." takes a break for the holidays, the first images have appeared from last week's taping of a very special February sweeps episode that will flash back to the time when the O.C. gang was still in elementary school.
As you may know, FOX has ordered only 16 episodes this season and the production of the final episode (possibly the series finale) is scheduled to end on January 15. That means that 14 episodes have already been filmed, including 'the flashback episode' that goes back in time to 1998 when Luke is already a popular guy who makes fun of nerdy Seth.
The flashbacks begin when Summer meets her friend Holly (loyal O.C. fans may remember her from season 1; her father punched Jimmy Cooper in front of everyone at the 'debut' party when he realized Jimmy had lost all his money).
Holly is now married and she tells Summer, who is worried about the direction of her relationship with Seth, what it is like. Old friends from school, they reminisce about the old times, when Seth used to be excited about the release of "The Matrix" and Taylor was a spoiled little brat that both Holly and Summer used to make fun of calling her "Taylor Dorksend".
The episode will also flash back to 1985 when young Kirsten and Jimmy used to be very much in love and had fun at the Harbor Sweatshirt Party on the beach. The episode will reveal how Kirsten met Sandy.
