Tom Welling's Vogue Photo Shoot (May 2008)

"Smallville" hunk Tom Welling, whom we have not seen in any official photo shoot for his CW drama this season, appears in the May edition of Vogue magazine playing a Clark Kent-like "cunning newspaper editor."

Welling's 7-year old series is undergoing major changes for season 8 - co-stars Kristin Kreuk (Lana) and Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) will no longer be series regulars and original creators Al Gough and Miles Millar have exited the series.

"Smallville" hunk Tom Welling was snapped on Sunday, December 30 walking his dog near his home in Los Angeles. The 30-year old star of "Cheaper by the Dozen" who has played young Superman Clark Kent on the CW drama for almost 7 years...


...appears rarely in the tabloids. Unlike other members of the young Hollywood elite, Welling has opted for a quiet life with his wife Jamie White whom he has been married to for over 5 years. "Smallville" returns late January or early February with 6 all-new episodes.

Hunked-Up: Tom Welling

Some poor souls get - as we call it - de-hunked, some lucky ones get hunked-up. And now that the 6-year old "Smallville" became The CW's top-rated show during premiere week, we may be stuck with it for years to come. Not that I'm complaining about that. Now, is it only a coincidence or is the CW's marketing department already working on keeping the franchise alive by giving Tom Welling, the drama's top star, a fresher, more youthful look (possibly a recycled image from season 5)?
