"Gossip Girl" Hunk Chace Crawford & JC Chasez @ LAX (Plus MTV Canada Video)

"Gossip Girl" hottie Chace Crawford, whose show has just been renewed by The CW for a 2nd season, was snapped last week at LAX with good buddy, singer and former N'Syncer JC Chasez. The actor attended NFL player Michael Strahan's party at TAO in Las Vegas on Thursday night.


Crawford and "Gossip Girl" co-star Leighton Meester recently appeared on MTV Canada to speak about their hit drama which returns with 5 all-new episodes on Monday, April 21 at 8.7c. Check out the clip below.


Meanwhile, TV Guide reports that despite rumors being true, former O.C. star Mischa Barton may not appear on "Gossip Girl" after all, since her agents allegedly tried to use the offer to put the actress back into the headlines that don't read DUI, but never intended to accept the offer.

Mischa Barton to Join "Gossip Girl"?

TV Guide reports former "O.C." star Mischa Barton, who has been charged with DUI earlier this week, is in talks to appear on The CW's hot drama "Gossip Girl," the show created by her former boss Josh Schwartz.

The actress was initially unhappy with her character's dramatic departure from "The O.C." in May 2006 spoiling the secret ending of the FOX show's third season finale in a TV entertainment magazine.

Schwartz allegedly killed Barton's character off to give his ratings-challenged series the necessary shot in the arm. Although the show's final 4th season was recognized for coming back to its roots, the viewer base had already dwindled.

Now, Barton appears to have buried the hatchet with Schwartz as she is in talks to play Georgina Sparks, "a scheme queen who brings Serena's (Blake Lively) checkered past screaming into her present."

"Gossip Girl" returns to CW on Monday, April 21 with 5 additional post-strike episodes which begin filming in mid March. The show's first season finale (#118) airs May 15.

Legions of eager Mischa Barton (or is that "The O.C."?) fans waited impatiently in line to catch a glimpse of their not necessarily equally enthusiastic idol at Lord & Taylor in New York City on Thursday. Earlier this week, it was announced Barton would star in a new Bruce Willis dark comedy "The Sophomore" playing the queen bee at a Catholic high school. Mischa Barton: Before Her Collapse

Former O.C. star Mischa Barton apparently didn't understand one does not drink alcoholic cocktails while on antibiotics as she collapsed at a Hollywood Memorial Day BBQ party on Sunday. Here are the images taken before her collapse.

Although Barton appears to dislike Tinseltown's troubled resident wild girl Lindsay Lohan, whom her greasy ex-boyfriend Brandon Davis once called "firecrotch," she does seem to have bonded with former reality TV personality Nicole Richie, who has in the past been charged for possession of heroin and DUI, quite well.

The twosome appeared somewhat gruesome on their way to the party that ended with Barton being rushed to a hospital on Sunday night. The 21-year old celeb was unceremoniously let go off the now-axed FOX soap last spring when she retaliated by spoiling her on-screen death.

Former "The O.C." star Mischa Barton was photographed on the weekend leaving Teddy's club in Hollywood with a new man. Although he seems to be taking a stalking distance in some of the images, they did leave with a girlfriend by car together.

Former "O.C." star Mischa Barton is back in London as the new face of the skin awareness for everyone (SAFE) campaign launched by the Institute of Cancer Research and high-street chain Superdrug.


The 21-year old actress said she spends a lot of time in the sun and knows how important it is to be sun aware and protect one's skin and said she hoped her efforts would help some people stay safe in the sun this summer.

The actress flew to New York earlier this week resuming her endorsement duties for Keds Shoes, a company based way back in 1916 which has recently come back into fashion thanks in part to the advertising campaign with Mischa as well as the new more vibrant designs.

The actress has been credited for helping the company improve its sales significantly for which reason she has been their spokesmodel as part of a multi-million-dollar deal for a third year now.

Former O.C. Star Mischa Barton Breaks Up With Rocker Cisco Adler Over Raunchy Photo

21-year old British-born actress and former star of FOX's just-canceled drama "The O.C." Mischa Barton has broken up with her boyfriend Cisco Adler over a photo which turned up among Paris Hilton's possessions when the contents of the heiress' unpaid storage locker were posted online at parisexposed.com.

The couple parted ways immediately after the rocker's nude photo was posted all over the Internet. According to sources, Barton was furious and ended the relationship with a brawl.

The actress, who was photographed on Tuesday in Beverly Hills, had been dating the rocker since August 2005 when she ended her 1-year relationship with the greasy potty-mouthed oil heir Brandon Davis.

Mischa Barton Promotes "The O.C."

She may not have taken her dismissal from "The O.C." too well and she did spoil her on-screen death for millions of fans last year, but when it comes to business Mischa Barton does know how to be a professional, too.

Earlier this week, the actress was in Japan promoting the March 23 release of "The O.C." on DVD.

During the event, Japanese model, Yuri Ebihara, announced Mischa at the conference held at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo on January 30.

According to English language daily Japan Today, Ebihara was introduced as "a special supporter of The O.C."

Now if we could only figure out what the frak Mischa was wearing...

Former O.C. star and currently big screen actress, Mischa Barton is keeping herself busy these days not only making movies, but also endorsing designer labels. Here is her new campaign for KEDS and their spring collection of shoes.

The actress recently revealed to TV Guide it was bittersweet to hear of FOX's cancellation of "The O.C.", but she felt sad for her former co-stars many of whom she considers good friends.
