Felicity Huffman, Husband Run for Charity @ Nautica Malibu Triathlon

Before she put on that ritzy-blitzy dress and dazzled on the red carpet at last night's Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, "Desperate Housewife" Felicity Huffman and her husband William H. Macy ran at the Nautica Malibu Triathlon at Zuma Beach on Sunday.

According to the latest reports the sold out event raised over $700,000 for a children's hospital in Los Angeles.

Felicity was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category, but lost out to fellow ABC star America Ferrera of "Ugly Betty."

Earlier this year Huffman was nominated in a similar category at the Golden Globes Awards ceremony, but also lost out to red-hot Ferrera.

Felicity Huffman's Movie Bombs

Perhaps TV stars should stay away from the big screen. Following disastrous box office results for Matthew Fox's "We Are Marshall," "Desperate Housewives" co-star Nicolette Sheridan's "Code Name: The Cleaner" and Adam Brody's "In the Land of Women," Felicity Huffman's new movie "Georgia Rule" bombed at the weekend box office collecting a scant $5,9 million.

Veteran actress Jane Fonda and scandal-prone starlet Lindsay Lohan could not save the movie that had a reported budget of $60 million, which means it will have to earn over $100 million if the studio "Universal Pictures" is to reach the break-even point.

International distribution, DVD rentals and TV rights can help, but with initial box office so low, this movie will go down as a bomb.

The honchos at the studio who could not have been very happy to see the initial figures on Sunday morning, had already been at the end of their tether when they issued an unusual written reproach to Lohan during the production of the movie.

They called her conduct "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" and said it had "endangered the quality of the picture."

AT THE MOVIES: Felicity Huffman's "Georgia Rule" & Lindsay Lohan's Backstage Antics

Academy Award winner Jane Fonda, "Desperate Housewife" Felicity Huffman, and cocaine-scandal star Lindsay Lohan play family in the new romantic comedy "Georgia Rule" opening nationwide tomorrow.

The movie revolves around a rebellious, uncontrollable teenager (Lohan) who is hauled off by her dysfunctional mother (Huffman) to spend the summer with her grandmother (Fonda).

Dermot Mulroney ("My Best Friend's Wedding") and Laurie Metcalf (Carolyn Bigsby on "Desperate Housewives") also star.

During the filming of the movie, Lindsay Lohan received a warning letter from the studio CEO because of her "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" conduct of a "spoiled child" which "has endangered the quality of the picture."

Lohan also caused a scandal when she appeared intoxicated for a Disneyland photo shoot during a break in production. Disneyland management in Burbank did not pursue a PR damage control campaign as numerous reports verified the events.

Huffman (pictured above at Regis & Kelly) defended Lohan in recent promotional interviews for the movie saying she was professional in her work. Lohan was snapped yesterday with Huffman's book "Practical Handbook for Boyfriend."

Is Lynette Cheating On Tom? ("Desperate Housewives" Spoilers)

One year ago, Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) was terrified by the idea that her husband Tom might be having an affair and she fled their home with children unwilling to even face her innocent husband. What a difference a year makes!

Tomorrow night ABC's "Desperate Housewives" introduces a new character, Jason Gedrick's Rick Coletti, Scavo pizzeria's new employee who shows strong interest in his attractive boss making Tom jealous.

Soon enough, as you can see from these images, things get a little out of hand and someone falls in love. Tom however realizes Lynette might be cheating on him with Rick and decides to confront her.

Gedrick will appear in at least 4 of the remaining 6 episodes of the dramedy this season.

"Desperate Housewives" Star Felicity Huffman's March Redbook Cover

Fans of one of the stars of ABC's hit dramedy "Desperate Housewives" will be glad to see that the woman who made William H. Macy a happy man and the fictional former ad exec and new pizza restaurant owner Tom Scavo a stressed out man with a ticking-bomb of a back problem graces the cover of March edition of Redbook magazine.

The actress has written a book called "A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend" along with co-author Patricia Wolff released last month. The book has however failed to generate strong sales for the publisher Hyperion - currently ranking #725 on the Amazon.com list of bestsellers.

Catch Felicity on-screen as "Desperate Housewives" returns
to ABC next week with a very special episode entitled "My Husband, the Pig" told from a male perspective. In the episode, Tom and Lynette the proud new owners of the "Scavo Pizzeria" restaurant encounter a small limousine problem.

"Desperate" Huffman Says Husband Macy Deemed Her Book Too Shocking

In an interview with USA Today, "Desperate Housewives" star Felicity Huffman revealed her husband actor William H. Macy had asked her to take some sexual references out of her new book "A Practical Handbook For the Boyfriend" saying they were too shocking.

The book, which Huffman co-wrote with producer and long-time friend Patricia Wolff hit shelves last week.

The handbook offers guys who want to become good boyfriends (and women who want to transform them) tips on everything, from dating to male underwear and was based on real-life stories.

Some of the tips included are: how to apologize without really apologizing; how to tell if her "no" means "yes," or her "yes" means "no; and how to survive her driving.

The authors were photographed at Barnes & Noble book signing on Friday.
