Major "Dirty Sexy Money" Season 2 Spoilers

ABC promised to make it dirtier and sexier than ever before and they are following up on that promise. But have they gone too far? You be the judge. Major "Dirty Sexy Money" spoilers, after the jump.

After ABC realized the new show runner of "Dirty Sexy Money," Daniel Cerone ("Dexter") may not have been the right fit for the show - focus groups allegedly disliked the darker tone of episodes filmed under his direction in May - ABC Studio hired Jon Feldman (of last season's ABC failure "Big Shots") to retool the dramedy, yet again.

The producers promised to get rid of the show's "indie elements" and make it dirtier and sexier, or more of a "popcorn guilty pleasure," as ABC prexy Steve McPherson, put it.

Well, here is what the writers have come up with:

* Ellen Darling (Patrick's gold-digging wife) is killed off in a fire in the season premiere.

* Ellen's brother tries to prove that the Darlings tried to kill Ellen. The family did try to cover something about Ellen's death up.

* Letitia Darling still goes on a sensational trial for murder of her lover Dutch George (as originally conceived by Cerone), but now she gets arrested in a more theatrical manner at Ellen Darling's wake.

* Lucy Liu joins the show as prosecutor Nola Lyons. She appears to have an ulterior motive to attack the Darlings. We soon learn Simon Elder holds her 6-year old brother captive and dictates Nola what to do.

* Nola makes a mistake that may cost her victory in the trial against Letitia Darling. The mistake is called Jeremy Darling.

* Brian Jr. makes a comeback, as does his mother Andrea, who learns she has cancer and only one year to live.

* The rivalry between Lisa and Karen erupts at an elegant dinner party at the Imperial. Lisa, who is now sick of the Darlings, calls Karen a disgusting slut and throws champagne into her face. Is her marriage to Nick over?

* There may be a new romantic interest for Tripp who is still reeling from his wife's betrayal. The woman Tripp takes interest in, however, sets her sights on Nick. Tripp is not happy about that.

  1. Omg, the spoilers sound sort of awful. I must admit that I wasn't particularly impressed by "DSM"'s first season, but I enjoyed it. I also watched the first two episodes of season two already which were the ones from Daniel Cerone and I liked these. :|

  4. Sounds dirty and sexier to me already! Yea, Ellen should go and make way for Carmalita. Love to see a bitch fight between Karen and Lisa over Nick.

Lucy Liu is keen on trying different guest roles huh.. Hopefully something will come along for her.
