Will Tori Spelling Join Jennie Garth & Cast of New "Beverly Hills 90210" Spin-Off?
Now that Jennie Garth has joined the cast of CW's contemporary spin-off of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and the network has officially ordered the script to series for the 2008/2009 season, Deadline Hollywood Daily reports another original 90210 denizen Tori Spelling may also join the cast. For the time being, let's take a look at who's been cast thus far.
JENNIE GARTH - The actress, who played teenager Kelly Taylor in the original Aaron Spelling series on FOX, will play a guidance counselor at her alma mater, West Beverly Hills High, reprising her original role.
LORI LOUGHLIN - Former "Summerland" star has been tapped to play "the mom role." She will play Celia Mills, an ex-Olympic athlete who relocates to Beverly Hills with her husband (BH High's new principal) and two children.
SHENAE GRIMES - The "Degrassi: The Next Generation" star has nabbed the role originally intended for Hilary Duff. She will play Annie Mills, a theater-loving teen who relocates to Beverly Hills from Kansas with her adoptive bro and their parents.
DUSTIN MILLIGAN - The young actor who previously starred on CW's short-lived 2006 series "Runaway" was the first to have been cast in the 90210 redux. He will play Ethan, the big-man-on-campus star athlete at West Beverly High.
ANNALYNNE McCORD - Former "Nip/Tuck" star will play hot, rich Naomi, one of the most popular girls in school.
JESSICA WALTER - "Arrested Development's" grande dame, Jessica Walter, has been cast as hard-drinkin', faded, '70s-movie-star Tabitha Mills. Tabitha is the grandmother of the show's central teens, siblings Annie and Dixon Mills.
RYAN EGGOLD - "Dirt" star will play the role of Ryan "the teacher."
The roles of "dad" and "son" in the show's central Mills family have yet to be cast.
The cast will make a special appearance in New York on Tuesday as The CW presents its fall schedule at the Upfronts event for advertisers.
