"Brothers & Sisters" Hunk Joins "Moonlight"
Uh-oh! Does this mean Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys) and his "reverend boyfriend" (Eric Winter) have no future on ABC's "Brothers & Sisters"? Fans of Scotty (Luke MacFarlane) rejoice! CBS has stolen Eric Winter again!
TV Guide has confirmed Winter will make an appearance in at least 3 post-strike episodes of CBS' vampire drama "Moonlight" (beginning April 25).
Last spring, Eric Winter made his first appearance on "Brothers & Sisters" as Rob Lowe's gay brother Jason McCallister who initially went on a disaster of a date with Kevin, before the two hooked up in the season finale.
His presence on the show was however overshadowed by his casting on CBS' "Viva Laughlin" which thankfully bombed big time when launched last October.
Although Winter immediately returned to Ojai to cause a stir in the re-coupling of Kevin and Scotty, the writers' strike and now the "Moonlight" stint may put that twist on hold.
Personally, I'd actually prefer to see the incredibly sexy Jason and the super-cute Scotty as a couple, but I suppose the writers have different plans.
In one of the final pre-strike episodes, Jason returned from his missionary trip, finding Kevin and Scotty in love. Scotty asked Kevin to promise that he would stay away from Jason, which Kevin happily agreed to. For now.

I have actually never thought of Scotty and Jason together - now that's a thought! But still, I think Eric Winter is not doing the show (B&S) any good by first appearing on a failed show and now going on to become a vampire?!
Scotty was supposed to be Kevin's Mr. Big but now he is Mr. Blah.
He is even whinier than Kevin and pretty boring as a character.
Given the latest spoilers from E!, it seems like Kevin/Scotty will be on very stable ground. I don't think Winter/Jason will be coming back any time soon.
