Chris Carmack Joins "Desperate Housewives"
Former "O.C." star Chris Carmack, whose line "Welcome to the O.C., bitch!" became one of the show's most popular catchphrases, has joined ABC's "Desperate Housewives" where he may romance Lindsay Fonseca's character Dylan, the troubled teenage daughter of Dana Delany.
The actor will play a tax accountant named Tim, a cousin of Susan's in his late twenties, who comes to Wisteria Lane to help Teri Hatcher's clumsy character and her husband Mike (James Denton) with taxes and ends up setting his sights on their sexy 18-year old neighbor.
According to an early version of the script, Susan freaks out when she learns about Tim's preference for young girls and realizes he may be interested in Dylan, too. The producers are also casting a younger actor for the role, as the show will flash back to the time when Tim himself was a teenager.
In the episode, which began shooting earlier this week, Susan and Dylan's mother Katherine Mayfair may clash, which will only add to Susan being uncomfortable over Tim's interest in Dylan. The episode will air on Sunday, April 13 kicking off a batch of 7 all-new "Desperate Housewives" episodes.
