Hugh Laurie Buys Vintage Porsche & Takes Up Boxing

Former "Blackadder" star Hugh Laurie, 48, who now regularly lures 16-18 million viewers to the tube every Tuesday night to watch his captivating Dr. "House" character on the FOX drama, has recently bought a bright orange vintage Porsche 911 and began regular boxing sessions, having been branded by some TV's sexiest man.

Although I would personally leave such titles to a number of other hotties gracing TV airwaves these days (namely a gentleman confined to a prison in Panama and a flying nurse who once saved a cheerleader), I can certainly understand the appeal of the man I once adored as a nitwit of a Prince George.

Laurie who has been filming "House" in Los Angeles for 4 years often misses his wife Jo, 51, who has remained at the family's London home with their 3 children. Recently, the actor left the 'House' sets in L.A. although he was due to film scenes, hopped on a plane to London and surprised his family staying with them for a long weekend.
