Top-5 New Shows Last Week
For the second time this TV season, here are the top-5 new shows on network television this fall among adults 18-49 as well as total viewers. Kudos to ABC which has 4 shows in the top-5, including the entire Wednesday night line-up.
The premiere of "Pushing Daisies" scored a very strong 4.3 rating placing the fantasy procedural second on the 18-49 chart. The show did even better in total viewers starting off as the most watched new show on television last week.
Although "Private Practice" weakened from last week's 5.1 to this week's 4.5 rating that was strong enough to top the 18-49 chart, since its timeslot competitor on NBC "The Bionic Woman" suffered a much stronger loss placing third with a 4.0 rating (last week 5.5).
"Big Shots" which was erroneously omitted from last week's chart also shed many viewers, but remained in the top-5.
Finally, "Dirty Sexy Money" remained stable in week #2 becoming the 5th strongest new show this season thus far. It's competitor "Life" on NBC however wasn't that lucky.
Finally, also check out the top-5 chart in total viewers. CBS soap "Cane" scored relatively well on that chart, but the average viewer of that show is 55.

Seems ABC is the network to beat where new shows are concearned this year. However, I expect that Big Shots will be pulled quickly. ABC took a risky move with an all new Wednesday Night Lineup, but, they did pick their three best new shows so it seems like they put all their eggs in one basket.
